Kensington Palace was the birthplace of Queen Victoria in 1819, and it was here that she was told she was Queen at just 18 years old. We can visit the room where Queen Victoria had her first privy council meeting as her Queen and there is a small exhibition of her life in the Palace. Later it was the residence for several years of Lady Di, Princess of Wales, and today it is the current official residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and Prince William.

During the visit to the Palace we can walk through the royal apartments of the King and the Queen, the famous red room in which Queen Victoria had her first meeting, an exhibition of costumes by Lady Di and Queen Elizabeth II among many others, and walk through the fantastic gardens of the Palace.

In the same gardens of the Palace there is also “The Orangery”, a beautiful English-style greenhouse where it is possible to enjoy an authentic Afternoon Tea in the style of British royalty.
