London in two days: Itinerary with routes and maps

London in 2 days can be an unforgettable experience if you plan very well the 48 hours that you are going to be in the British capital, but I warn you that it is most likely that you will leave with the intention of returning one day.

Here we propose two different ways to see London in two days, either using the tourist bus and taking a river cruise, or without using these services.
What will you find in this article?

What to see in London in two days if it is your first time in London

If it is the first time that you visit London you should see the most important sites of the city, such as Big Ben, the London Eye (the Ferris wheel), stroll through the most important squares and surely you should stroll through one of the markets to go with the feeling of having “lived London”.

In our article planning the perfect trip to London we tell you the secrets to see the most important points.
So here’s some advice on how to make the most of your trip to London:

Option 1: Visit London in two days using the tourist bus and with a cruise on the Thames

The first thing you need to decide is if you want to take the tourist bus to see London. In my opinion, if you are only going to stay for two days, I think the tourist bus is a very good option, and they also offer a free boat cruise that reaches Tower Bridge and is highly recommended. This way you will see much more. Depending on the time of year, the validity of the ticket can be 48 hours, so you can use it during the two days and you can also use it as a method of transport to get to different places – and thus you can use other methods of transport at a minimum. The tourist bus has numerous stops, where you can get off and ride as many times as you want, so it is very useful to go down through areas, walk around a bit and then get back up again. Something very positive about the tourist bus is listening to the comments (recorded in several languages) and that way it is easier to know where we are and what we have to see. They also usually give tickets with discounts, which are always useful!

Option 2: London in 2 days without using the tourist bus

If you don’t want to use the tourist bus, it’s a matter of seeing London in different areas, walking and using public transport. There are people who in two days, organizing themselves well and leaving the hotel, soon get to see a lot. If this is your case, we propose these two itineraries:

FIRST DAY IN LONDON

To tour London in two days, I recommend our route for your first day, which will take you from Buckingham Palace to Piccadilly Circus. The idea is that we start this route seeing the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, and then we walk through the center of London passing by such important places as Big Ben , London Eye , Trafalgar Square

SECOND DAY IN LONDON

For your second day in London you can follow our route that begins in Hyde Park and reaches Covent Garden , passing through the most famous streets and squares in London, such as Oxford Street , Regent Street , London’s Soho including Carnaby Street

Do not forget that you can find all our routes in our free mobile App that works offline .

What to see if it is not the first time you visit London

If it is not your first time in London and you do not want to focus on the center, I advise you to take a look at our following articles:

If you plan to visit a museum or a special place like St. Paul’s Cathedral or Westminster Abbey , spend even a couple of hours.
